Cessna is headquartered in Wichita, a town so dominated by the aviation industry that it’s known as the Air Capital of the World. Our two Wichita facilities employ nearly 6,000 people and occupy 1,400-plus square acres. All Cessna Citation jets are built here, with the exception of the Mustang and the Citation M2. Our entire Citation fleet is serviced here as well at the Wichita Citation Service Center. Wichita was also recently ranked by CNN/Money Magazine as one of the “Top 10 Best Big Cities,” and was named one of “America’s Top 100 Places To Live” by One of the most commonly reported reasons for living in Wichita is the quality of life. Forbes Magazine Online named Wichita as one of the most affordable cities in the Midwest. Wichita’s average cost of living is 93.9% of the national average, lower than other Midwest cities such as Kansas City, Dallas, or Denver.

Independence, Kansas

Cessna’s manufacturing facility in Independence, Kansas, produces the majority of Cessna single-engine aircraft including the 172 Skyhawk, the 182 Skylane, the 206 Stationair and the all-composite TTx. In addition, the Independence facility produces the Citation Mustang and Citation M2 business jets. The campus is made up of five buildings: the main assembly plant, the sand and fill building, the paint facility, the Flight building, and the new Customer Center. Independence is a charming community in which to live and work with a rich heritage and history.

Columbus, Georgia

The Cessna manufacturing facility in Columbus, Georgia, is on the banks of the Chattahoochee River. The facility manufactures McCauley Propeller Systems.

Chihuahua, Mexico

This 62,069-square-foot facility in Chihuahua, Mexico, opened in 2006 and focuses on the production of wire harnesses for Citations, small sheet metal assemblies for Citations, and composite components.

Chihuahua is in northern Mexico bordering the United States. It is known for its canyons — the largest in North America — waterfalls, and mountains.
