A group of friends and I decided we wanted to get away for the weekend and explore the beauty of Arkansas flying. We had a group of 5 airplanes and a long list of grass strips we were excited to visit. The weather ended up cutting our trip short and only 3 airplanes decided to go: A Beechcraft Bonanza, Cessna 182 and a Cessna 152. As you can imagine, it was quite entertaining to fly as a group with the speed differences...with me always being the caboose!

Although the weather cut the trip short, we were lucky enough to make it to a couple of grass strips: 58AR and 17A. We had a blast visiting these airports and enjoying the scenery along the way.

These pictures were taken at Sugar Creek (58AR) by a pilot/photographer that was already camping there.

This trip was a great excuse to veer off the beaten path and was a great reminder of how aviation has a way of bringing people together!
